กระบวนการทำงานของภูครามไม่ใช่เพียงการผลิตชิ้นงานหัตถกรรม แต่คือการใช้ “งานมือ” และ “ธรรมชาติ” เป็นเครื่องมือในการขัดเกลาโลกภายในของช่างฝีมือ เพื่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากโลกภายในสู่โลกภายนอก
1. การเชื่อมโยงกับธรรมชาติ (Nature Connection)
จุดเริ่มต้นไม่ได้อยู่ที่เข็มหรือด้าย แต่อยู่ที่การอนุญาตให้ใจได้สัมผัสความจริงของธรรมชาติในเทือกเขาภูพานอย่างละเอียด
การสังเกตอย่างลึกซึ้ง (Deep Observation)
การพาช่างออกไปสัมผัสสีของใบไม้ แสงแดดที่ตกกระทบเปลือกไม้ หรือการเปลี่ยนแปลงของฤดูกาล กระบวนการนี้ช่วยลดทอน “เสียงรบกวน” จากภายนอกและความกังวลส่วนตัว ทำให้ใจเริ่มนิ่งและจดจ่อกับปัจจุบันขณะ
การซึมซับแรงบันดาลใจ
เมื่อใจสงบ ธรรมชาติจะทำหน้าที่สื่อสารผ่านรูปทรงและสีสัน ช่างจะเริ่มมองเห็นความงามในความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นฐานของการเรียนรู้การยอมรับตนเองและเปิดใจในการสร้างสรรค์งานที่จริงใจ
2. การภาวนาผ่านฝีเข็ม (Embroidery as Meditation)
งานปักผ้าของภูครามทำหน้าที่เป็นกระบวนการ “ภาวนา” ที่เปลี่ยนความซ้ำซากจำเจให้กลายเป็นความตระหนักรู้
จังหวะที่สอดประสาน
ทุกการแทงเข็มขึ้นและลงคือการฝึกจังหวะลมหายใจและความจดจ่อ เมื่อมือและใจทำงานเป็นหนึ่งเดียว ความคิดฟุ้งซ่านจะลดลง เหลือเพียงความใส่ใจในทุกรายละเอียดของเส้นด้าย
การเผชิญหน้ากับความอดทน
ในขณะที่ต้องปักลวดลายที่ซับซ้อน ช่างจะได้ทำงานกับความเหนื่อยล้าหรือความเบื่อหน่ายของตนเอง การข้ามผ่านอารมณ์เหล่านี้ไปได้ด้วยความประณีต คือการสร้างความเข้มแข็งภายในและเห็นคุณค่าของ “เวลา” ที่หลอมรวมอยู่ในชิ้นงาน
3. การสร้างคุณค่าจากความร่วมมือ (Collective Transformation)
การเปลี่ยนแปลงไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นเพียงลำพัง แต่เกิดจากการแลกเปลี่ยนพลังงานภายในกลุ่มชุมชน

เมื่อช่างรับรู้ว่างานของตนมีเสียงของธรรมชาติและตัวตนของเขาบรรจุอยู่ มุมมองที่มีต่อตัวเองจะเปลี่ยนไป จากเพียงแค่การทำงานเพื่อเลี้ยงชีพ สู่การทำงานเพื่อส่งต่อ “จิตวิญญาณ” ของท้องถิ่น

บทสรุปของกระบวนการภายในคือการที่ช่างเข้าใจถึงความเชื่อมโยงระหว่าง “ตนเอง ธรรมชาติ และแบรนด์”

เมื่อใจของช่างเปลี่ยน งานที่ออกมาจะมี “ชีวิต” (Life in Craft) ซึ่งผู้สวมใส่สามารถสัมผัสได้

ภูครามจึงไม่ได้เติบโตแค่ในเชิงธุรกิจ แต่เป็นการเติบโตในเชิงคุณภาพชีวิตและจิตใจของคนในชุมชน ที่พร้อมจะดูแลรักษาธรรมชาติและสืบสานงานฝีมือด้วยความจริงใจ

การเปลี่ยนแปลงของภูครามจึงเริ่มต้นที่ “ใจ” ของคนทำงานเมื่อใจละเอียด งานย่อมประณีต
และเมื่อใจรักธรรมชาติ ธรรมชาติย่อมจะให้แรงบันดาลใจที่ไม่มีวันสิ้นสุด
กิจกรรมประจำปีของภูคราม
จุดเริ่มต้นไม่ได้อยู่ที่เข็มหรือด้าย แต่อยู่ที่การอนุญาตให้ใจได้สัมผัสความจริงของธรรมชาติในเทือกเขาภูพานอย่างละเอียด
1. เข้าป่าไปหาแรงบันดาลใจ (Into the Wild)
เราเริ่มจากการพาตัวเองกลับไปหาธรรมชาติก่อน เช่น เดินป่าและสำรวจธรรมชาติ ไม่ใช่การเดินเพื่อไปถึงเป้าหมาย แต่คือการเดินช้าๆ ไปดูมด ดูใบไม้ ต้นไม้ ดอกไม้ ดูไม้ ดูสีของท้องฟ้า บางครั้งก็ไป วาดภาพในป่า ไปสังเกตธรรมชาติเพิ่มเติม บางคืนเราก็ไป นอนป่า กันจริงๆ เพื่อฟังเสียงลม เสียงน้ำและสัมผัสความเย็นของภูพาน ให้ธรรมชาติช่วยชาร์จแบตและสอนเราว่า “ความธรรมดานี่งาม”
2. ไปเป็นลูกหลานชาวบ้าน (Living Like a Local)
จากป่า เราก็เดินเข้าหาคนที่ “บ้าน” กิจกรรมที่สร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่สุด คือ การไปกินข้าวบ้านชาวบ้าน กินแกงหน่อไม้ น้ำพริกผักป่า นั่งล้อมวงคุยกับแม่ๆ ป้าๆ เหมือนเรากลับบ้านต่างจังหวัด ช่วงเทศกาลอย่าง สงกรานต์ ปีใหม่ หรือไปทำบุญ ที่วัดในหมู่บ้าน เราก็ไปร่วมวงแจมกับเขาด้วยความสนุกสนาน มันคือช่วงเวลาที่ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคนทำแบรนด์กับคนในชุมชน
3. เปิดบ้าน แบ่งปันความรักในงานมือ (Sharing the Craft) จาก “ผู้ผลิต” สู่ “ศิลปิน“
พอเราได้เรียนรู้ มีแรงบันดาลใจ ตกผลึกแล้ว เราก็อยากส่งต่อ เราจัดกิจกรรมเปิดบ้าน (Open House) ให้เพื่อนลูกค้าหรือคนที่สนใจได้เข้ามาดูสตูดิโอเล็กๆ ของเรา มีเวิร์กชอป สอนปักผ้า สอนย้อมคราม ให้ทุกคนได้ลองใช้เข็มใช้ด้ายคุยกับตัวเอง
4. กิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติในท้องถิ่น
กิจกรรมบวชป่าและการดูแลลำห้วยที่พาดผ่านหมู่บ้าน รวมถึงกิจกรรมอนุรักษ์ต่างๆ ที่ทำกับคนในภูครามและคนในท้องถิ่น มันเป็นการดูแลทรัพยากรของเรา จริงๆ แล้วเราเพียงอยากดูแล “บ้านหลังใหญ่” (คือป่าภูพาน) นี้ไปด้วยกัน

Bhukram Inner Process
Bhukram process is not only about producing handcrafted pieces, but about using “hands” and “nature” as tools to refine the inner world of the craftsman, leading to a transformation from inside to outside.
1. Nature connection
The starting point is not the needle or thread, but it is allowing the heart to deeply and fine experience the true nature of the Phu Phan mountain range.
Deep observation
Taking a craftsperson out to perceive and experience the colors of the leaves, the sunlight shining on the tree bark, or the seasons changing, these process helps reducing external “noise” and personal anxieties, allowing the mind to calm and focus on the present moment.
Immersing inspiration
When the mind is calm, the artisans will begin to perceive that nature communicates through forms and colors. And the artisan will begin to see beauty in imperfection, which forms the basis of learning self-acceptance and opening their mind to creating genuine work.
2. Embroidery as Meditation
Bhukram’s embroidery work serves as a “meditational” process, transforming monotony into awareness.
Harmonious rhythm
Each sewing rhythm of the needle up and down is a practice in breathing and concentration. When the hand and mind work as one, distracting thoughts will diminish, leaving only the meticulous attention to every detail of the thread.
Confronting patience
While embroidering intricate embroideries, artisans may experience their tiredness or boredom. Overcoming these emotions with meticulous craftsmanship is to build inner strength and an appreciation for the “time” that is ingrained in the finished piece.
3. Co-creation
The change doesn’t happen only by itself, but rather results from the exchange of energy within the community.
Sharing stories
The collaborative process allows artisans to express their feelings through art. Seeing the work of workmates inspires and reduces ego, fostering a collective pride.
From “producer” to “artisan”
When a craftsman realizes that their work contains the sounds of nature and their own identity, their perspective of themselves has changed, from simply working to earn a living to working to pass on the “spirit” of their local community.
4. The change to sustainability
The culmination of the internal process is that the craftsman understands the connection between “their individual selves, nature, and the brand.”
Understanding the essence
When the artisans’ heart changes, the resulting work comes to life (There is life in craft.), which the wearer can perceive.
Sustainable growth
Bhukram has therefore not merely grown in business terms, but also in the quality of life and mind of the people in the community, who are ready to preserve nature and continue the craftsmanship with sincerity.

The transformation of Bhukram therefore begins with the “heart” of the people who work there.When the mind is refined, the work becomes meticulous.
And when the heart loves nature, nature will provide endless inspiration.
Bhukram’s annual events
The starting point is not the needle or thread, but it is to allow the heart to deeply experience the true nature of the Phu Phan mountain range.
1. Go into the Wild for inspiration
We begin by reconnecting ourselves with nature i.e. hiking including exploring the nature, it is not merely reaching the destination, but about a slow walk, observing ants, leaves, trees, flowers, woods, the colors of the sky, and sometimes we draw and paint in the forest and observe the nature more. Sometimes we even camp overnight for listening to wind sound, stream sound, and experience the coldness of Phu Phan, letting nature recharge us and teach us that “Ordinary is beautiful.”
2. Living with Local
From the forest, we journey towards the people at their “home”. The activity that build the strongest relationships is having meals with villagers at their homes, i.e. eating bamboo shoot soup, eating wild vegetable chili paste, sitting in a circle and chatting with mothers and aunties, the same like when we go back home in the countryside. During festivals like Songkran, New year, and also doing good things at the temples in the village, we do join them merrily, it is the pleasant time that create a connection between the brand’s craftsmen and the people in the community.
3. Open house : Sharing the love in handcrafts, from a “producer” to an “artisan”
Once we have learned, gained inspiration, and refined our knowledge, we want to share it. So we organize an “open house” event for our friends, customers, and anyone interested in our pieces to visit our small studio. We offer workshops on embroidery and indigo dyeing, for everyone to experience talking and connecting themselves through needle and thread.
4. Natural activities in local
Blessing trees and taking care of the streams that flow through the village, as well as other conservation activities done with Bhukram people and locals, are all about taking care of our natural resources. Sincerely, we just want to take care of “our big home” (the Phu Phan forest) together.
